Gardens By The Bay: Supertrees

Picture
You've stepped into what looks a scene from Avatar. Manmade supertrees standing up to 16 stories high are covered with flora and fauna and at night showcase a splendid music and lights show. Open daily from 5am-2am, the Gardens by the Bay 18 Supertrees Grove showcases a spectacular manmade forest complete with 200 species of plants. The free attraction also has a skyway path between two of the trees if you would like an aerial view, additionally there is a Supertree-top bistro to dine at. 11 of the trees also are equipped with photovoltaic panels which serve to collect energy to power the evening light show and cooling air exhaust.

When we attended the Garden Rhapsody night show was broadway themed, as you can see and hear in my video below - sorry the first part is sideways but will turn vertical a few minutes in. Held every night at 7:45pm and 8:45pm this is an experience not to be missed. The lights, movement and colors are synchronized to the music. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to implementing eco-conscious and earth friendly sustainable living.
