3 New Pokes to try at Foodland

Ok, so first things first -- if you think I am saying poke like I am going to poke you with a stick or poke you with my finger you've got it all wrong. Poke is that cubed fish craze that has swept the globe with people adding crazy ingredients into a bowl and calling it poki. In Hawaii we love our poke (poh-keh) and our homegrown grocery stores make some of the best poke around. One of these stores is Foodland. 

Effective 8/31/2017, Foodland Farms Ala Moana will launch 3 new poke flavors. These varieties will only be available at this location (or unless they are crazy popular and they decide to add it to other stores). I promised to give you the very latest in detail regarding what these ingredients were and here they are!

Kochujang Masago Ahi Poke: spicy housemade gochujang (chili paste), cubed ahi and masago.

Garlic Ahi Poke: raw garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, bonito and cut ahi. 

Rainbow Roll Poke: ahi, salmon, shrimp, imitation crab with masago, wasabi mayo and kabayaki drizzle.
